12/31/04--One 6 lb cr/bait--Helium Bass

High at around 67 degrees with lots of cloud cover--almost no wind--3-4' water clarity.

Started throwing a Senko, then a spinnerbait both with no bites. Switched to my FFS cr/bait rig and right away, caught a nice 6 lber. One point of the rear treble was stuck inside her lower jaw. Good fight as it took me a few(?) minutes to put her in the boat.

Went to a C-rig, Senko, spinnerbait, swimbaits(2), and more cr/baits but that was the only bite I got today. Not a bad way to finish the year . :D

Decided not to start a new thread but I did catch a Fat Free Guppy Bass today, Jaunary 1, 2005. No bites on anything else I threw.

Another "goodun", aren't those heliums grand! It was a tough day over here as well. 3 dinks and a 1.5lber on a Mann's Stone jig. I threw cranks till my arm was tired, they just were not biting today. I think the heat wave has them all screwed up. Air temp 74 degrees, water temp 51 degrees. Grats again, both very nice fish.

Thank you ez. Air temp was 74 and surface water was 64. I got a little tan with just shorts on. The shirt is on in the pics just to protect the innocents :D .
