I personally would stay away from the revo reels with the magnetic brake. I bought a sx and an stx last year and found that while they were smooth, quiet, very ergonomic, and had a smooth, and powerful drag, the casting ability was absolutely the worst I've ever fished. I have been using baitcasters for a long time and have used just about every reel out there and I have never had the problems I've had with this reel. No matter what weight lure I was using, no matter what weather conditions I was fishing, I had to turn the magnetic brake ALL the way on and tighten the friction cast control knob very tight to keep from backlashing even using a half ounce rattle trap on a calm day! Then, heaven help you if the wind picked up any! You couldn't turn on any more brake or spool friction to compensate and you were really screwed, and like I said I am an experienced baitcaster. when it comes to casting with these reels there is NO room for variables or error. Maybe that is why ABU went to centrifugal brakes on the revo inshore and Skeet Reese? I have 6 Shimano Curados and love them NO issues what soever, I would stay with shimano if I were you!
