Over the past four years I have been using kistler rods. I am pleased with the sensitivity and performance of the rods.

What Compares!

Hey Kistler nation, I would like to know which rod would you suggest best compares to the HE69APC LTA, from the Graphite series of rods, as far as all purpose is concerned, I thought the Senko Special KSS610 has basically the same specs except that it is one inch longer, and does the Senko Special come with the soft foam butt cap. Any info will help me decide which rod to purchase and will be greatly appreciated! :)

I don't have any of the Graphite Series but their Specs show the foam cap so I would think that the Senko Special would be included too.

Trey's reponse from a previous post!

After browsing through some of the old post, on what rod might compare to the HE69APC I found that the KSS610 could be the closest.
The KSS610 is also a great all purpose rod. Either of the two would work great.
That was from Trey, replying to a question on the right rod to use for grubs, he also mentions that the KWWS69 has a nice tip action for lighter lures. Although both would serve me just fine on what I intend on using it for I would prefer the KSS610, it is a MH rod with a fast action as opposed to the KWWS69 which has a Power rating of MED. and a mod-fast action. Don't get me wrong guy's I would really love to get the Helium 69APC, but my budget prefer's the graphite plus. :lol:I'll be using this rod for texas rig's, senko's, jigs, sb, c-rig's and whatever else I can get away with. Living out here in Arizona we dont have the cover in our resevoirs that are found back East and in the South, Although there is some vegetation in our lakes they mostly consist of big boulder's and alot of rip-rap. If you guy's have any other suggestion's please let me know, this will be my first Kistler, and from reading all the post I dont think I could go wrong with any rod I Intend on buying, as long as it's a Kistler! Thx

Personally I would prolly pick the KWWS69. The rod seems alittle more versatile with the lighter tip and mod-fast action. The rod would seem to excel with all reaction baits from crankbaits to topwater and handle the obvious senko type baits and swimming grubs.

BTW, don't feel bad about not being able to afford the Helium, while I have the Helium 6'9" all purpose for my senkos and grubs to hair jigs I actually like my 7'Crankbait composite even better. I know some here will think I'm crazy but Kistler line of Graphite Plus rods are the balls and will be purchasing their Walk and Twitch Special this spring. These rods do have the soft foam butt cap and no fore-grip as well and as always the very popular Hook Hanger.

Goodluck with your purchase.
