Argon vs. Magnesium

Postby Seymour » 12/11/08 11:01am

So what are the differences between the Argon and the Magnesium? Is one supposed to be higher end than the other? They are very close in price, only $10 - 20 difference. I read on Tackle Tour's Kistler ICast report that the Magnesiums would drop to $149? Is this true?

Sorry for the delay. Here goes, the Mg rods have not changed much from 08 - 09. The prices will go down a little in 09, but the Argon rods are a little better rod because of the Fuji Alconite guides, Intelamatrix graphite blanks plus they are new. So the Argon rods are worth the extra money but if you are looking for a sweet rod under $200, then stick to the Mg rods.
