ok i was lucky and got a diawa fuego for xmas from my parents and i plan to buy a helium 7'MH pretty soon in the next month and now that i have made my mind up on all the other things i need help on line. I was reading on tackle tour a review of sufix DNA and it sounded reel good but it said it might be hard to find, well i got on the net and found some on www.landbigfish.com it is pretty cheap compared to some of the line i have so what do yall thinks about the 14 and 17 lb test if i order 1 spool i might as well order 2 to save on shipping and just to have options on what lb test i want to use. If you like the line then tell me if you don't then tell me your favorite kind of line it has to be very limp though and they said that DNA was limp and had low memory so i think it sounded reel good.

I used spools of 8 and 12 pound. The limpness and castability was really nice. I found Suffix DNA to be a little less abrasion resistant then I like. You might want to look at McCoy Mean Green in the line classes you mentioned.

If you can get the Hybrid soft formula from YoZuri, go for it!

I'm also a Yo-Zuri user. DNA is alright but I need to change it pretty often or else it really gets stiff.

There is no one line that is right for all conditions. Line is like a tool, you have to have the right tool for the job. Ask a hundred different anglers about what line is best get 30 different answers. I have tried a lot of different lines and currently have the most confidence in P-line ( - - blocked - - ) for all of my heavier line fishing and the Flourocarbon for all light/clear water applications. If you are going to go all out on your rod and reel don't comprimise on your line.

well i was at dicks yesterday and dropped 25 bucks on line.
what kind of lne was it you are asking yourself well it was 15lb powerpro green i think i am really going to love it.

If you want a good line that's cheap try the Triple Fish. I use 15# and 10#. $7 for a 1100 yd spool of the 10# from Cabela's. I ordered a 3300 yd spool of the 15# from Triple Fish's website ($34 shipping included), ordered it with the "pay by check", and got the line in before I had sent the check to them!! That is about as good as customer service gets.

I tried Sufix Tritanium Plus last year in #14 and didn't care for it. It handles like a dream, but I broke off on 3 fish setting the hook and decided I'd try something else. If you retie a lot it would probably be decent though.

well i did not mean to sound like a cheapo because i have good fishin stuff and there is no reason to skimp on the line 1 of the most important parts of the combo, i just thought it would be a little cheaper but i think i am goin to love it, it looks reel good, i might try some of that sufix line where did you order yours from i am interested. thanks

Trust me when I say the Triple Fish is not skimping. The reason I mentioned price is because I can't beleive how good this line is AND how cheap it is!! I didn't mean to give you the impression I was calling you cheap, if anybody is cheap it's me!

I used P-Line for a couple of years and it was tough stuff but it was expensive, and anything heavier than 12# just had too much memory for me. Lots of folks have great success with it though. Then I went to Power Pro (for plastics & jigs) for a couple of years. Definitely no memory problems, and it is very sensitive, but I decided I would rather use mono for most applications. I still like 8# Flouro for fishing finesse worms on a leadhead. The Triple Fish line has been working out great for me. It's low stretch, very abrasion resistant and the memory is not too bad. Not like braid, but definitely better than a lot of mono lines.
