My 'Best' gift today

Postby Lightninrod » 12/25/04 10:34am

Aside from having our son visit from LA, our good health, and God's grace; it was my new 7' Helium LTA Medium Caster. It will be matched with a new, Daiwa-Japan market Custom(all black in color) TDZ and new, Sunline Shooter(5th generation f/c) 14# test flurocarbon line. I have the rod and line but the reel won't be shipped until January.

Thanks to everyone here especially Trey and Clifford, for your thoughts, ideas, and help as we enjoy Kistler's great rods in our pursuit of the wily Bass.

Merry Christmas everyone,

Dan

What, so you can put 'em in a hermetically-sealed glass case? !

Btw, I just ordered another Custom.........the solid, Red one that Jun had in stock :D! My Daiwas are slowly pushing my Calais/Antares off to the side .

Yeah if I spent $500 on a reel it would have to be gold plated and cast the lure out for me. Got any good pictures of the black one?

That sounds like another vote for Daiwa to me. I have so much praise for my Daiwas, I may never get a chance to try a Shimano.

I don't have mine yet(to be shipped in January?) so no personal pics of it but here is a Review and a pic of the Custom TDZs plus other Japan-market reels. Btw, that review was written(d/k if he took the pics?) by our 'own' Cal/sdesign :D ! He turn's a 'purty' phrase don't he.
