Excellent rod. This one is a 7'0" med/lite spinning 'cuz I wanted to go down a grade for more feel. WOW it is the KIND. Fished it yesterday on & off, & only got one fish, but it was a 2lb. smallie. That soft tip handled psycho-fish excellently, yet there was enough backbone to bring him up when he was done making three runs. I use 6# fluoro & a very light drag on my D/S so I wanted something that would give a little more flex during the fight. This was a good test for the rod & it appears to be exactly the set-up I've been looking for. I now have relegated my 7'0" med spinning to splitshotting 'cuz I need a little heavier feel for that technique. All in all an excellent rod (as I said) & highly recommended for drop-shotters. If you have the opportunity to get one of these rods (or any Helium), you can't go wrong IMO.

Great job. I've been leaning more and more to the He70MLS when I drop shot too. I like the extra leverage I get from it.

SD, I do have the He70MLC but I'm only using Shimano mills like the Scorpion 1001 and Antares. Tell me about the Pixy.

Excellent SD, I checked out the review. Why did they make it Yellow? lol
That looks like it is right up my alley. Time to hock some stuff and get one.
