Fishing Rods

Hey Trey,
I just got back from the Grand opening of a new Sportsman's warehouse down here in Avondale, AZ, what a great store! It's the second one to open down here in the Phoenix area, the first one opened in the north part of the valley, last year. There was some reps I spoke with from G-Loomis and St. Croix there and I posed the same question to them, they told me that the more guides on a rod relate more sensetivity, depending on the placement of them. I am going to be purchasing a few of your graphite plus rods and I would like to know if I could add an extra guide or two to them, Trey would you even recommend adding more guides to the rods, understanding that you have already made your rods to specs for best performance and response to sensitivity. I agree that generally more guides increase sensitivity but you must be careful, the more you add, the more you increase weight. You are generally trying to keep the amount of guides in proportion to the length of the rod. 9 guides and a tip on a 7ft rod is perfect but on a 6 footer, that will be a couple too many.
