How does the Mg series hold up in saltwater?

The guides are Fuji Stainless Steel 304 which will do just fine if you make sure to rinse off after fishing. I suggest taking a car wax and applying before the first use then once every six months. This will keep the salt from reaching the steel guide foot under the thread and epoxy. This will increase the life of the guides ten times.

What about the mg blank. Magnesium is suppose to rust very easily.

There is no exposed Magnesium in the blank. No worries at all.
