Our warranty is about the same as other manufacurers with Limited Lifetime Warranties.
One main point we want to be up front about is this:
Do not purchase a Kistler Rod solely for the warranty, but rather for the advantages the rods will give you by increasing your fishing performance. This should be the reason for your purchase, not whether or not you will get a free rod next year if it breaks.
First of all, Kistler Rods is not selling a Warranty; we are selling an innovative, high performing fishing tool. Our rods are designed to offer the best in sensitivity and feel available to anglers today.
By no means are we trying to produce rods that are indestructible. If you do not intend on taking good care of your Kistler rod, then please do not purchase one.
It boils down to this....if you have a problem with any component on your rod at all, we will fix it for FREE.
If the graphite blank ever breaks, we will asses the situation case by case. Examples:
Newer rod with clean break = Free Replacement
Well used rod with clean break = Pro-rated replacement
Any rod with questionable break = Hardship pro-rated replacement

This is as fair as we can be and still produce a premium rod for years to come. If one wants to make their decision solely based on warranty, then he or she is sacrificing very reason for purchasing a top end rod.
We respect ALL opinions on this subject and do not intend on comparing our company with other companies because Kistler Rods is not at all like our competitors. We are a family of dedicated craftsmen with one thing in mind. That is, creating a rod that will give the angler an advantage over other rods on the market, not creating the most profitable rod in order to offer unlimited warranty exchanges for everyone who wants one.
