jig'n'pig Special

Postby Cajun Bass Buster » 7/16/08 1:58pm

I am looking at the 6'10" jig'n'pig special Graphite plus rod. I currently pitch jigs with a 6'10" Shimano Clarus MH rod. I like it but I want something with a little more backbone and hopefully something lighter. Is the jig'n'pig Special what I'm lookin for? I understand Kistler offers higher end rods but the Graphite plus Series is the only one in my price range. Any info would be appreciated.

The Graphite Jig rod is a good rod to throw jigs on. You definitly need a heavy action rod for jigs. I personally use the Magnesium Jig N Toad special for jigs about 75% of the time. I think you will like the Jig N Pig rod. Where are you from? I only ask because of your name, and I am in Louisiana.

I live in Prairieville, just south of Baton Rouge. The 2 closest dealers are Bowie Outfitters in Baton Rouge, and Cabelas in Gonzales. I am not sure how many rods Bowies keeps in stock, but I know Cabelas had quite a few last time I was there.

Let me know if I can be of any more help, or if you are ever going to be in the area, and want to look at some different models.
