Heliums pass my test for big fish = suggestions

Well here at Guntersville I've caught a good amount of keepers and my biggest yet at 8.5 lbs (largemouths). i was wondering how it was going to hold up though. I caught about 30 stripers the last few days witht he biggest being 15 lbs and nuff said these rods are awesome and are strong enough to pull in a car. My biggest striper i thought was hooked to the bottom but the ol He 69apc horsed the ol girl in. Great rod my next will be a 66 H for spinnerbaits i tried the 69 mh and it loads the rod up a little bit with the size spinnerabit im throwin 1/2 is the 66mh a little stiffer then the 69apc or should i jsut go with the 66H

Outstandin' catchin' Alex!

I prefer to go with the lightest action Helium I can get away with but to each his own. My favorite Helium is the HE70MC. I use it(have 3 of them) for almost everything but pitchin', swimbaits, and C-rigging. It's great for spinnerbaits, treble-hook baits, and others.

Robert: As your link shows; the Freshwater rod handle is 9" and the Saltwater rod handle is 8".

I'm not sure if that is the only difference between the two. If it is, you could just order the Saltwater rod and fish it in both waters. I like the 9" handle on my HE70MC as I cast with both hands no matter how far I want the bait to go. It just feel's natural with both hands on it and gives me much better control over the cast.

If I were you, I'd email Trey Kistler and ask him directly.

Alex, I use the HE66MH as my all aorund SB rod. I also own the HE69APC but prefer the 66MH for all my blades. 8)
