Postby Leon Knight » 2/28/08 3:01am

Well I just got my new arsonal of Kistler Rods in and I and I have 0 complaints. Simply AWESOME!! Already two of my buddies are ordering the Helium 2 LTX 6' 9" Medium Spin. I am looking for the ideal rod for rippin lipless baits (lv 500's ect} prefer 7 ft, also a 7ft Buzz bait rod.

I have a LTA HE70MHC that I use for both buzzbaits, and ripping traps through the grass. If you want the LTX line I would suggest the He2MHC70. Eitrher one of those rods will be great for what you are looking for.

Leon,

I would stick with the He70MHC because the action is a little softer than the LTX and it will perform better for moving baits in my opinion. The LTX will work too.

Glad to hear you like your rods! Thank you for sharing with your buddy.

I use the 7'MH LTA as well. It has plenty of back bone for ripping through grass. But, I really like the bend on hook sets. I feel like I can let the rod load with a good set and still give the treble hooks a chance to really work on the fish.
