7'6" MH ?

Postby balata9999 » 2/17/08 1:02am

I'm having trouble finding someone that has a 7.6mh for me took look at. I'm trying to find a 7.6 rod to throw 1/2oz football heads only. Would this be a good choice or should i step up to the 7.6 heavy? Just for information purposes I wouldn't be flipping this rod just long casts and slow working back to the boat almost like a carolina rig. 15lb line and a hard side-sweeping hookset. Does this rod have sufficient backbone to accomplish that? Something along the lines of a 4 power rod is what I think I need.

I would say get the 7'6" Heavy for that. I have a 7'6" heavy I use for carolina rigs, and casting plastics. Trey might suggest a different rod though.

i use the 7'6" MH for crankbaits and finesse flipping. it is a very versitile rod, but i would definitely bump up to the Heavy for football heads.
