revo's

Postby iowabassguy » 1/29/08 10:05pm

Kelly -

I think the revo sx is a good choice if you're looking for the high-speed reel at a good price. I have used the Revo's on my Kistlers, along with a number of shimano's (old style Curado's), and have not had any issues with the reel seats. Depending on how much you are looking to spend, the new Revo Premier is considerably light and would make the combo itself very light weight. Only a thought, happy hunting.

Good luck, either one is a great choice.

Kelly,
I have the same rod with a Shimano Chronarch MG. It is an awesome combination. The Revo premier would also be an excellent choice since both reels weigh around 6oz. they make a super light combo.

The revo sx will do fine I do not have any problems with the reel seats and love the reels- like iowabassguy said if you can find the right deal the premier would be awesome to have on a kistler.

I have a revo Premier on an LTX2 rod and it is absolutely the most amazing bass fishing rod I have ever used. It is super light, flip like a champ and the sensitivity is out of this world. Those taps become thumps and even small fish seem huge. It is like the first time you go fishing with superline....you think a 15incher is a hawg until you get used to the rod.
