How strong is a Kistler Rod?

Hello ( - - blocked - - ); My name is Marcos Malucelli and I am a professional fishing angler from Brazil. About 18 months ago I received a proposition from a Brazilian tackle distribution company to open an office in America with the task of finding new brands to introduce in the South American fishing market.
When I first got in touch with the Kistler Rods I was very impressed with the innovative design and with its lightness. To give it a try I bought a couple of the Hellium LTAs and put them to work against Lake Wylie’s large mouth (South Carolina- where I am living now).
Man! I got hooked at first cast.
Excited with the quality and performance of this rods we placed the first order with Kistler for the South American market.
To be honest with you, I knew that the Helliuns would please the Brazilian anglers however the question was… Would they survive in a fight with our Tucunare- Açu (local name for the larger species of peacock bass)? Well there was only one way to answer this question….
We took some rods to Brazil and put them through the challenge at IRIRI RIVER in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest.
Some times pictures speak louder than words. Attached you will find some of the magnificent fights that we had with our giant Peacocks.
After a week challenging the South American toughest fish, the Kistler rods showed that they are not only good looking and light but also very reliable.
From now on, I our trips and boats Kistler Rods are a must.

Thank you and good fishing to all!!
Marcos Malucelli (BassBR)

Hi,
What rod is that in the last picture?
You mentioned that you purchased some LTA's..
Just curious, it doesn't look like the LTA's I have?

Sign me up for the next trip. I am all over that. The rod shown is the new design of the 2008 model Helium LTA.

Hello Brian, This is the new style on the Helliuns LTA. We were using a 6'9"All Porpuse Casting Rod.
Man, it is unbelievable how much abuse this rods had taken.

See you,
