The He69APC is an awesome spinnerbait rod, but, don't rule out the He63APC. I've been using my He63APC my last few trips out to St. Clair to toss spinnerbaits at docks and it is a great stick for throwing in tight quarters.

Spinnerbait Rods

Personally, I use a California Series 6'6" MH for my spinnerbaits. I don't need the sensitivity of a Helium blank for horizontal lure presentations. The Helium blanks are better suited for vertical presentations such as jigs, texas rigged baits, etc.

This blank now is in the Graphite Plus section. When I purchased mine, they were called the Mark Tyler models...

Larry, I think just the opposite is true. I use my HE70MCs for all my horizontal baits that have treble hooks as my MC Helium has the 'give' necessary to keep from ripping the hooks away from Bass.

Now, I use my HC and my EHC Heliums for C-rigging and pitchin' jigs as they have more 'power' for those hooksets' where a single, thicker hook is used.

I've been using the He70MC. It's listed as a crankbait rod but it handles spinnerbaits well. I really like the fact that I can feel what the blade is doing at all times.
