Kistler Equivalent to Waterloo Scrape Rod

Postby TxSwede » 10/4/07 11:24am

Guys,
I currently have one LTA I use as my fluke rod and just love it. I need a really stiff flipping rod for Falcon brush and Amistad/Choke grass. Several frinds have older scrape rods and really like them. Looking for your opinions on a Kistler equivalent. Needs to be both stiff and strong. Thanks

Equivalent to Waterloo Rod

TxSwede -

While not suprised, I am glad to hear you love your LTA. With what I know of the Waterloo Rod Line, I would recommend the (in the LTA series) the 7' HE70XHC or the 7'6" He76XHC. Both are one piece rods and have great tips for the extra heavy rod. I don't know if cost is a factor, but would not overlook the Graphite Plus series. I personally own several of this series and am very happy. Although just a tad heavier than the LTA's, you will not give up any strength, durability, or feel. I would consider the Grass Puncher KGPXH7 or the Flippin 7'6" KFRST76. Both are Extra Heavy. I am biased to a 7' rod as I am more accurate with this rod length. Hope this helps.
