Mg 7' ml casting rod

Postby Ben » 9/27/07 5:30pm

Has anybody used the Magnesium 7' ml casting rod? I'm thinking about one for jigs and shakyheads and some drop shots. Particularly with jigs. I really like flipping smaller jigs (1/8 to about 1/4) on 8 lb. line. Does it react real sloppy like glass or is it a fairly fast tip?

Ben,

I have tried this stick and noticed that it performs close to a medium powered rod with a little more action on the tip. It is far from sloppy like glass rods. Guys use this rod to chunk light lure at big redfish on the coast so you know its not too whimpy.

Hope this helps,
