Flipping is one of my favorite techniques and I have several rods I like to use. Basically, for an all purpose standard flippin' rod I like a 7'6" stiff rod with a lot of backbone. The He76XHC works very well for me. It can handle anything you want to throw on it and it also doubles well as a frog or swimbait rod. For Flipping deep grass or really thick cover I like a little bit longer rod in the He711XHC. The longer rod enables me more accurate casting and much more leverage to pull the fish out of the thick stuff. For more of a finesse presentation with smaller lures and lighter line, I like either the Mg70JTHC or the Mg70SSMHC depending how light you are going with your line. With the Senko Special I have comfortably fliped 6 or 8 lb. line. Hope this helps!

i have these rods and they are awesome! The jig and pig has great backbone for flippin. THe rod is light and has a great tip to it. I can tell you though the 7'6 flippin stick gives you a little more length and you are able to pick up alot more line quicker to hit the fish. If you have your heart set on those 2 rods you can't go wrong trust me.
