I got my first Kistler helium today. It is the He7/6HC and I sure like the feel of it. I will use it for jig fishing and just wanted to thank everyone that said to get this rod over the 7ft one. I will test it out tomorrow on Lake Fork in Texas.

Dude, my mouth is watering....Lake Fork!!!!!!! Enjoy the rod, it is in my top 3 picks from the Helium line. I would kill to be able to fish "the Fork"!!!! 8)

I talked to a guy that works for the Texas branch of my company and he said you can catch an 8lber that won't make the slot at lake fork. ( 16"-24")!!!

mine is going on a med action 6'6" heluim, for light topwater lures. i figured it would throw lighter stuff abit better then my reg tdz103h. although my tdz103h launches a 1/4oz megabass popx with ease. on the same rod. i was going to put my reg tdz103h on a mh6'6" heluim which i have on order as well hope to get it today actually. i will have to do some flip/flopping around between my tdz130h, alpha, tdz103 type r . just to see how i want to use them all. heluim stock - 6'6" med , 6'6" mh(on the way),
and 7'hc(on the wayl).
i fish with helium.

Cmon, EZ

Can't believe you turned down my offer to fish lovely Lake Buchanan for a trip to Fork! We could have put 8lbs in the boat (I'm talking a 5-fish limit, not one fish though!) I ended up not fishing today anyway, moved 20 yards of dirt. Hope my tournament partner found some fish today for the tourney next weekend.

Some of the fish out there look like footballs.

I hope you did not have to move 20 yards of dirt very far. Thats a lot of dirt. It sounds like you will need a couple of fishing trips to make up for all that work that you did.

Well

I did have the help of a small tractor and a dump trailer. Got about as much dirt to move again today. Guess I'd better get off the internet and get to work!

AustinBass it sounds like you are making a fishing pond. Let me know when it is done and I will help you stock it.

Welcome to the Kistler family! The model you picked is an excellent choice. I now own four of them.

Keep us informed on how you do with the new rod...

Best wishes,
Larry
