Which one should I buy?

Postby kwchannell89 » 6/6/07 12:50pm

I thought about buying the Kistler Magum carolina rig rod.
Or

kistler graphite worm/jig buster. the 6'8 model.

I dont own any kistlers, however my cousin has two texas rig graphite kistler, and I loved it! since I'm only 17 and I have a job (I just got the job this summer) and I'm saving up for a used truck, but I thought maybe at end of summer I could shell out money for a kistler.

Trying to decided on weather to get magneisum or the graphite. I cant buy the LTA or any of helium models as this time.

Thanks for your input.

btw, I just order the Kistler mesh hat, I thought it looked cool and just had to buy it.. Hope no one in my club ask to hold my kistler seeing that I dont own one.....yet.

kw,

Of course both rods are great rods, but if you can save the extra 50 bucks and buy the magnesium you wont be dissapointed. I have both grapite plus's and magnesium's and the magnesium is a much lighter and more sensitive rod than the graphite plus. If the extra cash is a big deal, it still is my confession that the Kistler graphite plus is the best rod on the market for 120 bucks.

Good fishing,

You may want to consider what you are going to use your first Kistler Rod for. Do you want a rod with multiple applications or just one.

I like the idea of using the magum worm rod for my jigs, craws, and carolina rigs. So basically for all soft plastics. Like flipping/pitching craws around laydowns or simiply dragging a carolina rig around off shore structures.

I'm get a custom made for my shaky head so ya.

Also I have a question what are different between all the speciality rod is it what all inside of blank that make them unique? and I know this isn't right place to ask this question, but the helium rod does it has helium inside blank? I never understood exactly how yall made it, but sounds cool haha. :D

The Magnesium series of rods are awesome rods. If I could only buy one rod, I would choose the Magnesium TS 6'6 MH. It is an all purpose rod that will fit the bill for pretty much all of the fishing situations you will run into.
