Anyone fishing the spawn yet????

Postby BigCheese » 3/3/07 2:07am

Before I left for Iraq I went down to Lake George in Fl and it was just starting there. I was wondering how far north is has gotten so far and if anyone was fishing bedding fish yet at all?

Jason,

I wish you were here. The spawn is ON in south Texas!!

Clifford and Ryan went out last weekend and caught several BIG females.

I think a 9 and 7 lb plus other nice fish.

I am headed to Lake Amistad to fish with the BASS Elite guys. We should stumble onto a few Giant Bass while there.

I'll report back later. Wish me luck. Wish you were here. Hang in there!

Amistad wow I am jealous. I was talking with Ray Sedgwick after he fished the Elite down there last year and he said it was better than allot of his trips to El Salto and some of the other big fish lakes in Mexico. Talked to some of the guys back home at Santee and they said there are just starting to move into some of the back water pockets but the water is still a little cold. I think the record set at Santee will fall in one of there first three tournaments this year.

I do wish you luck and will be looking for the report when you get back to the office.
