I had an opportunity to get out fishing for the first time in a few weeks this past weekend. I didn't have much luck in my usual areas fishing for bass, so I began motoring over to a nice ledge that has produced for me in the past. As I put the TM on high, I picked up my He70MC and began burning a 1/2 oz rattletrap to pass the time. The attached was the result: A 30"+ Northern. The fish hit like a truck and made a couple nice runs and a few dashes under the boat before my partner netted her, which was a good thing since this fish nearly straightened out a brand new size 4 Gamakatsu EWG treble hook at boat-side. I've caught some nice fish on my He70MC, but none this mean, long or strong. If you're looking for a cranking rod, look no further than an He70MC...
