I use my Jig n' toad magnesium in the salt all the time. I'm an inshore kayak fisherman, my gear gets soaked for hours on end, day in, day out in the saltiest water I can find. I also use a spec n red spinning rod and they both not only take the exposure, so far, they have handled redfish, trout, flounder, black drum, skipjack, sheepshead, gafftop sails, a crazy big stingray, and the occasional spanish mackerel.
I try to give my rigs a good long warm water rinse in the shower after each use but that doesn't always happen and the only sign of wear i've seen is where my rusty hooks leave some trace surface rust on the hook hanger. This is not the hook hanger, but residue from the hooks and it cleans off with a toothbrush.
They work pretty well in fresh water also and I currently owe my top 2 personal best LMB to the Jig n Toad. Not to mention 2 tournament wins with the 6'6" mh spinning rod. Them green fish just can't stand that wacky rig
