November Prostaff News
Wed, 21 Nov 2007
Our pro staff contains some of the country's best anglers. Recently,
our anglers have had success on both the FLW and the BASS Trails. Make
sure to look in each month's newsletter for our pros most recent tour
results.
Kistler
Pro Staff member, Steve Kennedy, had recent success at the Bassmaster
Memorial Tournament help in upstate New York. With Steve's second place
finish, he continued to show everyone why he is considered to be one of
the hottest anglers on the Bassmasters Elite Trail.
Art
Furguson, recently had a strong third place finish on Pickwick Lake in
a FLW Series event. Art finished with 56 pounds 9 ounces, to finish
just over four pounds out of first place.
Two Kistler
Pro-Staff anglers are on their way to the Bassmaster's Classic in
February 2008 on Lake Hartwell. Both Steve Kennedy and Alton Jones will
fish on this South Carolina lake that should have multiple patterns to
fish that time of year. Make sure to cheer them on if you plan on
attending the Classic.
Frank Ippoliti won the Bassmaster
Southern Open on Wheeler Lake in Alabama. Frank said that he stroked a
jig with a Kistler Jig and Toad Rod and threw a rattletrap to secure
his win. Frank said this in a Bass Fan interview:
"It was
definitely the combination of the rod and reel. The rod was a perfect
balance. If the tip was too soft, I wouldn't have been able to get the
hook in the fish. And the reel allowed me to pick up the slack line
real quickly. I had a lot of confidence with that rod and reel in my
hand. It was a big key to my success."
