You've been missed...
Well, I bet you thought I forgot about you guys. No, I've just been busy with life, and I'm sure you can relate to that, huh? There never seems to be quite enough time in the day to get done what we really want to do. I figured I should give you all an update on how we are doing these days. So, here goes ...
It has been a wild and bumpy ride over the last six months since the economy went haywire, but we have managed to stay in the saddle once again. I am truly sorry to hear about all the hardships going on in our world today. Lord only knows how I would handle losing my livelihood. However, I've been broke many times while getting this business off the ground. I would be remiss to say if it had not been for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His influence over my life, I know I would not be sitting here today writing a positive newsletter to you all.
Only because of His blessings over my life can I say Kistler Rods is continuing to prosper year after year, even through down economies. Every year in the past that I have put my faith in God's Big Plan, we have made it through the ups and downs of business. Last year, while other fishing industry businesses were experiencing record losses, Kistler Rods had another respectable increase in sales over the previous year. I give all the praise to God. Also, I want to thank the thousands of anglers who have chosen Kistler Rods to help them enjoy their hobby or sport. Without guys like you, I would be just another struggling custom rod builder. Testing rods with a promise...
One of the promises I made myself this year was to take my boys and father fishing as often as possible, despite our hectic lives. I now put it on the calendar and treat it like the most important meeting of the month. This was our second trip so far this year. We traveled down south last week to the Mexican border to "test" our rods on those mean Mexican bass at Lakes Falcon and Amistad. Let me tell you something, buddy ... don't go down there out of shape because you'll get your arm broken off if you aren't careful!!! Those bass are downright STRONG! One time while fighting a fish, my boy Kody was almost jerked into the lake! We're talking giant monsters lurking in the waters ready to fight you to the finish! They are unlike any other bass in the world! People ask me if I love my work ... what do you think I tell them? I always say, "Someone has to test these great Kistler rods and it might as well be me." We'll be back there to watch our BASS Elite anglers compete on Amistad and hopefully, catch one of those giant bass during the spawning season. I'll update you next month on our success.
FINALLY, rods are back in stock across the board...
After struggling over the past six months to build up our inventory to meet demand, we have finally caught up a little so that we can ship you guys a rod faster, just like the good ol' days. We have always taken pride in being able to expedie an order on the same day, but it has been tough lately due to wiped-out inventory from dealers all across the globe. With the creation of our proprietary graphite blanks "IntelaMatrix" and "DuraMatrix", we have truly come up with a revolutionary product that we all are very proud of. Our office staff is experiencing an overwhelming number of calls due to our popularity all over the world. If you try to call us and do not reach a live person, it is most likely because every one of us is already helping a customer, with another on hold, while multi-tasking an email question from yet another customer. I can promise you this, if you will either email us your question or leave us a detailed phone message in the respective department, someone will get back with you within the week.
