By Trey Kistler | Mon, 16 Oct 2006

Hello from Trey Kistler and welcome to the mid-year newsletter. I finally carved some time out to type up this newsletter for this past Summer and with the cooler temperatures coming quickly upon us, the fishing will be heating up again for most of America, making it great timing to update all of you! We have been so busy shipping rods that there was no time to write. I do apologize for the delay.

Kistler Product Line Updates

After a tremendous season of sales generated by the interest created from all of our rods, our staff took a much needed day off to go fishing at one of the Lake X rod testing grounds. After it was all said and done, 7 of us had caught around 150 bass and experienced a great time as a team out there on the water! We have tripled our work staff and are planning to increase our customer service department next month. We feel strongly about being personally available to our fishing friends and new customers while servicing their needs.

The new clothing apparel has arrived finally! Hats, T-shirts, fishing and dress shirts are some of the items now available. A few of the fishing shirts are out of stock at this time but we do have more on order which will arrive sometime in October. We will most likely add a few more clothing items later this fall for the colder months ahead of us so be on the watch for those cool threads.

Look for our new products coming soon

Anthony Gagliardi Wins FLW Angler of the Year

A congratulation goes out to our prostaff angler Anthony Gagliardi for his Angler of the Year award in the FLW Walmart tour. What was even more interesting, Matt Herren came in a close second place and Scott Martin came in 5 place overall in the points. Why do these guys use Kistler rods? It must be something in the performance that each of these guys can bank on when they are out there making their living. We are very proud of each of our professional anglers and also our 150 field staff representatives on the water sharing their success stories with everyone.

Kistler Rods is moving to a brand new location

After 8 years of doing business in cramped quarters, we are moving our operation down the road into a brand new facility. The brand new office space and production area is sure to increase our efforts to provide you with better quality service and products. Come by and visit us anytime if you are in the Houston, TX area for a tour of the plant. We enjoy meeting new faces and old friends for the first time.

Of More Important Things?

As always, we would like to take a second to tell you how grateful we are to God for His blessings upon our lives. We truly hope and pray for you and your family as we all begin yet another year closer to eternity. I personally pray that God would draw you closer to His net of salvation so you and I can ultimately become future fishing friends in heaven together.

How can that happen, how can you and I be insured of an eternity fishing for the big ones - there is only one way and that is through accepting the gift God's only son, Jesus Christ gave willingly to all of us. It is your choice whether you accept his gift and the only way to accept it is to take a step of faith, a blind leap over the chasm of doubt and fear, understanding upfront you will never know all the answers and simply acknowledge his presence in your life! There is no interview where you have to get all the answers right, no test where you must score 100%, no fishing tournament where you lose if you don't catch a 20 pound limit. The only thing you have to do is humble yourself enough to ask for His forgiveness for your sins, drop your ego and really, with heartfelt desire ask for Him to come into your life and help you to be a better person, a better friend, a better husband and yes, even a better fisher of men. What is so awesome is that the price for this gift has already been paid for you. Jesus paid it for YOU, when he died on the cross. All you have to do it accept His gift. Check out what God says in His Holy word written by John in the Bible, Chapter 3, Verse 16.

Here is the easiest analogy for me to explain this to you in the simplest terms:

What if someone came up to you at a tournament, said that they had seen you struggling in practice and offered to give you their location where they GUARANTEED you a 25 pound limit. Your first reaction might be to think, what's the catch? And on top of that, they gave you a brand new Triton Bass boat, fully loaded with Kistler Rods and all the lures you would need to catch these fish - no strings attached. The only contingency would be that you ACCEPT the gift, without question, as just that, as a gracious gift to YOU from someone who had just found out they had only a short time to live and didn't want these precious things to go to waste - who wouldn't take that gift, right?

Well guess what, a bunch of you might just walk away, saying, no thanks, I don't believe you, some of you might say, what if this, what if that, some of you might even say, well only if you promise this and promise that, above and beyond the gifts you already mentioned.

My point, you would have negotiated yourself right out of the very thing you said you always wanted; a brand new boat, the best of equipment, the tournament winning location and plan, i.e., the free gift with no strings attached EXCEPT the willingness to accept it and the faith to believe it. NOW, take that analogy, broaden it to the realms of eternal life, the reality of everlasting peace, the limitless expanse of all things great and wonderful and you will have barely scratched the surface as to what God is offering you in HIS GIFT!

The only question isn't whether the gift is real, the only question is, do you accept it and by accepting it, win in the "tournament" of everlasting life. It is as simple as that, its Gods gift to you, a no-fuss plan of love and forgiveness for those simply willing to accept it. But Trey, if it is so simple, why doesn't everyone accept the gift - because God didn't want to force us to love Him, but rather he allowed us to make a choice to love Him based on our own free will, a decision made from the heart, not the brain. Some people just can not accept a gift for what it is, just a gift?!?!?!? What about you?

If you would like to discuss anything with me personally, I would love the chance to visit with you about your spiritual concerns or questions. There have been so many lives changed already by men who decided to finally drop their egos, take that next step, and start asking a Christian friend, a true believer, about the life God has planned for them. Why don't you make that a reality in your life today by letting go and letting God do the rest. I promise I will be that Christian friend who will help you to find that "GIFT" God has for you!

Until we see each other on the bass loaded waters of heaven, I am Your Brother in Christ,

Trey
