Speckled Trout turned on

Author: Duck Wright
Report Posted:07/23/10
Date of Fishing:12/31/69
Location:Texas Fishing Reports
Fishing Area:San Antonio Bay
Kistler Rod Used:Z Bone
Description: We have been tearing up the trout in San Antonio Bay, just out of Seadrift, Texas. Our retirement home is there and I guide out of the area. On the 16th and 17th, we caught a total of 130 trout over 16" with some of them measuring 22" to 25". The trout numbers are really good this year. We caught almost all the trout on a Brown Lure in the Red/White, rigged on a 1/8 oz. jig head. Most of our fish came from 5' to 6' deep. I wade fish with my trips, so we were in about 4' to 5' depths while fishing. We have really put the Z Bone to the test. I fish the 7' Medium/Light action and it's got real feeeeeel. I have fished the Kistler rods now for over 12 years and I have never been happier with a rod in my hands than a Kistler Z Bone
Fishing Species:Speckled Trout
Bait & Takle Used:Brown Lure Plastics with 1/8 oz. jig heads
Water & Weather
Conditions:
90 to 95 degrees with 10 mph winds from the SSE
