 First I want to thank you for checking out Kistler Custom Fishing Rods! We are a family centered company with the drive to help you make the most out of your fishing experience!

As president of Kistler I have had the privilege to be mentored by my father, Billy Kistler, former President and Founder of Castaway Rods. For over six years, I learned not only the essentials to making an outstanding fishing rod, but most importantly to stay true to our values; God, Family and you the customer.  Staying true to those values has been the cornerstone of a company driven to develop the most advanced fishing rod available!

When we began our line of rods with the Magnesium and Helium line, we knew we were on to something special.   Thousands of anglers immediately fell love with such unique features like our minimalist front grip and special open hook holders.  So much so, that you see these imitated by other rod manufacturers today! They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery and boy are we flattered! It proves that when you choose Kistler, your choosing THE innovator in fishing rods!
